MINDANAO COSPLAY SUMMIT 2011ㅡ The biggest cosplay event of the year... I think. There were lots of contests such as drawing, walk-in cosplays, and solo, pair and group skits. Plus, there were performances as well. The biggest hit was Uchuu Sentai Noize (宇宙戦隊 Noiz).

A friend of mine got into Shaman King recently and asked me to draw Faust's oversoul, Mephisto Eliza. I normally don't do this, accepting "requests", but I accepted it anyway. Why? 'Coz I've got a bunch of blank A4-size papers at home. We don't want them to go to waste now. haha. Anyway, it was hard to find a good picture of Eliza so I ended up copying from the manga. It's a bit more complicated, plus manga Eliza looks leaner, but it turned out fine ['twas inked directly on paper]. So far, she's the scariest character I've drawn... I think. She's kinda cool though. Oh, and the actual drawing looks better than the picture. Just saying.

Almost forgot to post this one... Our MST6 class had a play on global warming, caring for the environment and stuff. The two MST6 sections had three or four groups each, and whoever gives the best show gets the highest grade. Our group had this Alice in Wonderland theme and our idea was to represent the various outlooks of people on global warming thru the characters. And of course, I get to play the Queen of Hearts. "Where are my fat boys?!" あほほほ～！ We prepared for 2-3 days, working around a script that I wrote just before class (Keep the creative juices flowin'!). On the night of the play, people were running all over the place. I even finished my exam early for this, 'coz the group hadn't practiced as a whole 'til that night. Whew! But to our relief... Thank God, we managed to pull everything off! 1st place! ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ Despite the pressure, it was fun directing and working with such talented people. Also, congratulations to the other groups that performed. おめでとう( ^ _ ^)∠☆PAN！ Sigh~ I miss cosplay.

Note: The characters were modified versions of the movie's due to the lack of preparation time.

ANOTHER late post━━ Do I ever post anything that's not late? Aish~ Anyway, here goes... OUR MST6 FIELD TRIP! The 2 sections went to the beach, and spent 2 days and 1 night there. If you're wondering what MST6 means, it's "MathScience&Technology6" which covers topics under biodiversity. BIODIVERSITY ON THE BEACH!

After 2 hours of waiting and almost an hour on the boat.
We finally got there.
Hooray!


It's a beach alright.
Too bad I wasn't able to build a decent sand castle.
The shore was full of coral bits.


We found tons of hermit crabs though.
They were everywhere!
...running away from us.

It's happy to see us.

IT RAINED HARD.
I couldn't sleep in my tent.
A mini-flood was forming inside.
We had to stay inside the cottage.
ALL WET


I spotted 2 large centipedes. Everyone panicked!
We called the navy officer, and the navy officer called this guy.
He placed his gun on the bed (cool~)
and sliced the poor things in half.


Nothing much happened the next day, so...


We headed home at around 3pm.
